with cocoa leaves around the border sweetness sings from every corner

I'm making a little keepsake/scrapbook for my Ideation & Process class of things that I want to remember when I'm older. I'm not planning on losing my memory, but I think it'll be nice to have this book to look back on and see what I was like. I wish my mom would have kept a book like this, because it's always so much fun to see old photos and interests of those who lived in a different time than yourself.
The above picture is the cover, and I have 6 pages so far. I think I'll start including a page each post here ...or you could cheat and view my flickr, where I've already uploaded some of the pages I have.

Do you keepsake? What do you like to keep?

A scrapbook is a really great idea and a helpful way to preserve your memories. I know you're not planning to lose your memory but it can happen to the best of us! That's one of the things I'm terrified about when I think of aging. But this is a wonderful idea; I should think of making one of my own.

Everything to me is a keepsake - that's the problem!
:P

Here's a few - I love baseball, and so I keep all the tickets to every major league game I've attended over the past eight years.
They used to line my bedroom, but now I'm organizing them into a little book.
I also love my boyfriend, and I began a visual journal-sort of book somewhat along these lines for his birthday last year, including little works of art
I left blank pages in, and every couple of months I'll ask to "borrow" it and add in new memories - an inside joke, our first Christmas, our anniversary.
My favorite part about the book so far is that I asked to borrow it right before his birthday.
I was throwing him a surprise party and kept documentation of it in the book.
When he arrived at the party, we snapped a polaroid of his surprised face, I quickly taped it into the book, and presented it to him moments later so he could read about the process of organizing the party and why I did it (because he means so much to me!).
;]

I love your little book, Ashley; it's just the sweetest thing!

<3 Grace.

I keep photographs, ticket stubs, jars, bones, feathers, and trinkets. I often keep too much but I just cannot help it. I used to keep an official scrap book but I often feel overly obligated to keep up with it so I stopped. I keep trying to keep a journal but I often find I dont have too much to say, nor do I often read over it, so I ended that as well. Ive found the best way for me to keep memories is just to turn them into pieces of art work. The memory is so strong that way.
