versions

which do you prefer? I can't decide for my final print. It's intaglio with chine colle and water color. Maybe the last two?

When I was maybe 13, my friend Sarah lived in a house by the woods. Once while we were walking back to her house from visiting her horses, we saw this huge creature walking not too far from us. It really looked like a black panther, but here I've made it more like a wolf. I wonder what it was doing there.

Those are all lovely. I quite love the third one for some reason.

i really love the third. the texture to the flag is nice and the irregularity to the rocks is too.

i love your blog by the way. i've been following for a year or so (we may have a mutual kansas city friend and that's how i found it). your books are so childlike and elegant. i love them!

the interview on jen hammer's blog was just lovely. your faith in the lord and love for art is admirable

Intaglio is a very difficult technique. I'm so impressed! These are beautiful and the story behind them adds a wonderful level of intrigue. Personally, I like the second to last and the first, just because of the technique but its hard to tell without seeing the prints up close. For me mistakes, or imperfections, can make or break a print but regardless of all that, I like them! :)

These are wonderful. My eyes seem to be drawn most to the third print.

first or third are best for me :) but it's really hard to decide, actually, they are all nice.

love this technique, I've always chosen it on my University.

The third one is perfect. :) Well, they are all perfect but the third one definitely caught my attention. That is scary! I once saw a mountain lion when hiking with my father as a kid, the woods is a mysterious place...

I like the second and last!

It's funny that I kind of have a similar story. My friend Rachael and I would always go to the forest preserve when we were little and once I promise you, we saw a bear! Very interesting! :) I love little memory posts! woo.

Tough choice, but I like the bottom one the best. Red looks really good with the picture.

I love the second one best. I love them all actually, but, yes, the second one without the black hills.

Great work! I really love the third version, The simple pops of yellow are a great contrast to the darker aspect of the other half of the painting. I think it makes for a great balance :)
