waldeinsamkeit

a book I finished last month. Waldeinsamkeit is the german word for "the feeling of being alone in the woods". Interesting that we don't have a word for that in english!
It took forever for me to find that little music box. I installed in into a cheap wooden box, which holds the book. Watch the video to hear the little song.

thank you all for the sweet birthday wishes. it's taking longer than expected to get my paypal changed to the right name (it's still my maiden name), so apologies for the long etsy delay.

It's gorgeous, I adore the video & I agree with sara, learning new words we don't have in English is always lovely.

Wow! Thanks for introducing the word. I wish we did have something like that in the English language. Reminds me, though, of the fashion movement called Mori Girls in Japan. Have you heard of it?

I think the main idea is that, mentally and physically, these girls represent the mindset of wandering in the woods. It's very cool :)

The book is wonderful! I like the rain and the bear pictures the best.

your booklets are so cute. I used to make similar ones when I was at uni but now self motivation alone isn't enough to make me create more. You have inspired me to give it another go though :)

Oh my, this is so beautiful it brings me to tears as I am really thin-skinned these days. May I ask how you made the book itself with the printing on the cover and so forth?
