blizzard people

the blizzard is so bad today, work got canceled! a nice little surprise for my first weekend of winter break.

i've lost count of all the people i've seen stuck in the snow so far this morning. it's fun to see strangers helping strangers, giving high fives of success and huddling together to shield the wind.
poor kyle has to walk home from work while i stay in and wrap christmas gifts/make paper people.
we actually cheated a bit last night and each opened up one gift (woops!).

etsy opening in four days!! (i'm still narrowing down on my shop's name! hmmmmm)

i always feel a strange excitement when the weather takes over and i am stuck somewhere or my plans are forced to change. just for a day or so, it's fun to have to surrender to circumstances.

Oh I love snow storms! Last year in Philadelphia, we had so much snow everyone went to the famous art museum steps and went sledding down them. It was so much fun to hang out with complete strangers! :)

Please have animal things in your shop! You seem to have the same animal tastes as my brother and I'm constantly trying to find cute things for him on Etsy with no luck. Maybe I'll get him something for Christmas from your shop!

Hi! I stumbled upon your blog and I think it's great :)

I wish it was snowing here. I'm looking outside right now, on Christmas Eve, and the trees are green and the pool is bubbling quietly. Yeah, Florida. I haven't seen snow it years. Nor the good spirits that come with it, such as you have mentioned.

Have a Merry Christmas!
